Propagated especially for Bowdens by our fern consultant Mr Dick Hayward. We have very limited stock of these plants available.
This is another member of the beautiful Arachniodes genus. The frond is dark-green and glossy, and the ultimate pinnule segments are diamond-shaped. In some plants there is a hint of lighter variegation (as in Arachniodes simplicior), although this is not a regular feature. As with many other Arachniodes new growth is not symmetrical and upright from a central crown but leads off from one side. This species seems to be about as hardy in UK cultivation as the other commonly grown members of the genus (A. simplicior, A. standishii and A. davalliaeformis).
