This used to be called Dryopteris coreano-montana, on account of its provenance in the mountains of Korea. It is a medium-large fern (reaching 120cm high when really mature) with a fairly broad triangular frond which is quite yellow-green in colour and of a matt texture. The blade is bipinnate. Altogether, it is a robust, wintergreen, easy-to-grow fern, and quite distinct in any collection of ferns.
