The knobbly Anemone blanda tubers may look somewhat uninspiring in your hand, but give it a few months, and drifts of delightfully simple flower faces following the sun will lift your spirits. Both the Mediterranean Anemone blanda and the British native Anemone nemorosa are ideal under deciduous trees to give them cool shade in the summer, whereas the strong hues of the De Caen anemones will enjoy full sun and make long lasting cut flowers.
